Utah State Aggies to the Big East???

So with BYU off the table, it now appears that the Big East is targeting Utah State or San Diego State University.

Utah State who currently plays in the Western Athletic Conference (WAC), might be an ideal addition to the new west division of the Big East, which would include:  Houston, Boise State, SMU, and Air Force.

The Utah State Aggies play football in Romney Stadium, which seats approximately 30,000.

  1. This actually makes a lot of sense.

The Utes moved to the PAC-12, so it is logical that one of the other teams in Utah move to a BCS conference.

I seemed like it was going to be BYU, but I guess they want to remain independent (the Mormon Notre Dame?).

The Aggies would be a good fit geographically, with conference games against Boise State and Air Force. Moving to the Big East would definitely be better than the MWC.
